Sun’s out, fun’s out for bowlers

It was a beautiful night for Millicent Night Owls players to bowl wearing singlets that would not out of place on the beach.

With only four more nights left of competition, the sun was shining and people were smiling, chatting and having fun.

Sparkies controlled Red Division after Chris Earl, Scott Lonergan, Terry Lonergan and Bob Reilly defeated the Rovers 28+11.

Other winners were Tant Tigers 28+5, Somerset Legends 28+4, Max’s Four 26+6, Mossies 26+ 4.

Grand Hotel bossed Blue Division following Jamie Veering, Chris Veering, Bill Chapman and Jim Taylor’s victory over Birdies 29+12, while other winners were Maccas 28+14, Rotary 28+4, Lions 28+4, Somery Seniors 27+2.

White Division honours went to Sam Kent, Jez Jones, Luke Ferguson, and Todd Craig, who helped the Pups defeat Lions Roar 28+9, other winners were Sunnies 27+6, Scrappers won on a forfeit from Mayura Mob 27, Bedford Butterflies 25+2, Gizzies Crew 25+1.

Touches were scored by Paul Joiner (Lion Rams) 4, Ross Warren (Jack Attack) 4, Bernie Bowman (Sunnies) 4, Graham Watson (Bits & Pieces) 3, George Hobson (Mossies) 3, Ian Mitchell (Tant Tigers) 3, Nigel Ross (Sunnies) 3, Max Blacketer ( Max’s Four) 3, David Sharp (Somerset Legends) 3, Anthony Donghia (Somerset Legends) 3.
