Town celebrations shelved

The Back-to-Kalangadoo celebrations re-scheduled for this weekend have been cancelled again.

The event was originally scheduled for the October long weekend of 2021 but COVID protocols prompted its postponement by five months.

However, COVID-related matters again intervened and organisers have taken the reluctant decision to call it off.

One of the difficulties faced by the committee was sourcing enough COVID marshals to enable the program to proceed.

Among the program events were inspections of historic homesteads and railway station museum, walking tours of the township of Kalangadoo and a gathering at the Riddoch Memorial Institute.
