Millicent becomes school sport central

The call has gone out for assistance to prepare the venue for the 78th annual South East Interschool Athletics Carnival.

Millicent High School will host eight secondary schools and colleges at the yearly event on March 24.

A working bee will be held in the grounds from 9am on the Sunday preceding the carnival.

Taking part in the day-long carnival will be the four secondary schools in Mount Gambier as well as the high schools at Millicent, Naracoorte, Penola and Bordertown.

Meanwhile, the annual Millicent High School Sports Day was recently held, with Meintangk winning the house shield.

Staff were pleased with the participation rate and outstanding individual achievements, with records broken.

As well as winning the 16-year-old male trophy, Bradyn Hateley was also awarded the Brenton Hankin Memorial Trophy for the most points accumulated on the day.
