A Millicent property is set to change hands. “The Chalet” in Emily Street has been on the market for a lengthy period of time.

For a significant portion of the twentieth century, it was the home of Reuben Mowbray (now deceased). Originally from Victoria, he was the editor of The South Eastern Times from 1907-1952 and the proprietor for much of this time.

Mr Mowbray also served the local community as an MP, chairman of the Millicent District Council, chairman of the Millicent High School Council and in many other community spheres.
