Rural grant program opens

Rural communities are being invited to apply for a grant through the Flinders University Rural Health SA grant program.

The university operates in rural and remote community contexts that are geographically and culturally diverse.

A spokesperson said the university’s communities offered unique and effective partnerships which were vital to building their capacity, particularly the future health workforce, and ensures that local knowledge is incorporated into its activities.

“These partnerships are also fundamental to educating our students and ensuring graduate outcomes meet community need,” the spokesperson said.

“The FURHSA Community Partnership Grant is one way we are investing in local rural communities.” Grants of up to $2000 will be funded to support those parties that facilitate beneficial outcomes for local rural and regional communities within the local government areas of Flinders University Rural Health SA located campuses.

Visit www.flinders.edu.au/flindersruralhealthsa/community-engagement for further information.

Applications close on October 23, 2020.
