A warm welcome to the new Sacred Heart school year

THE new school year is off to a fantastic start at Sacred Heart, with students and staff settling in after the summer break.

A special welcome goes out to the new families joining the school community—we hope they quickly feel part of the Sacred Heart family.

Family breakfast brings school together

WE KICKED-off the year with a much-loved Family Breakfast, bringing together students, parents, and staff to share a meal and reconnect after the holidays.

It was wonderful to see so many families attend, and a huge thank you goes to those who helped cook and serve, especially our pancake makers!

School repairs completed

OVER the holidays, the school underwent significant building repairs following last year’s hailstorm, with works completed as part of an insurance claim.

Builders worked tirelessly to restore and refresh the school, and the results speak for themselves—the place looks fantastic!

Mini Vinnies commissioning

THE Mini Vinnies Commissioning saw a group of dedicated students formally pledge their commitment to helping others.

Inspired by the work of St Vincent de Paul, these young leaders will organise fundraising efforts, support local charities, and promote kindness in the school.

The ceremony was a proud moment for the students, with staff and parents cheering them on as they stepped into their leadership roles.

Western Trinity swimming sports

EXCITEMENT and energy filled the air as students from Sacred Heart, St. Joseph’s, Coleraine and St Malachy’s, Edenhope gathered for the Western Trinity Swimming Sports.

The competition featured a range of events, from freestyle and backstroke races to fun relays and novelty events.

Cheers echoed across the pool as students gave their all, demonstrating determination and sportsmanship.

Whether they took home ribbons or simply enjoyed participating, every student contributed to the vibrant, supportive atmosphere that made the day a success.

These events highlight the strong sense of community, leadership and teamwork at Sacred Heart.

As the year continues, the school looks forward to more opportunities to celebrate its students’ achievements and connections.
