There is currently a record 24 COVID positive cases among the residents at Boneham Aged Care Services in Millicent.
Chief executive Michael Filsell also reported yesterday afternoon (Monday) they have had 22 staff furloughed through illness or close contact.
“The new Omicron variants are proving to be highly infectious and widely impacting aged care homes across Australia,” Mr Filsell said.
“Our spirits at Boneham Aged Care Services have been lifted with the recent arrival of the Armed Services Medical Assistance Team composed of three experienced nursing staff.
“They have had an immediate impact on our operations and bring additional experience with COVID illness to our team.”
Visiting restrictions remain in place at Boneham Aged Care Services.
