Mount Gambier’s Kai Allen will compete overseas for the first time in Repco Supercars this weekend for the 025 ITM Taupo Super 440.
Heading into the third round, Allen is currently ranking 19th in the Repco Supercars 2025 Championship in his debut season.
Last year’s Supercars return to New Zealand was a sellout at Taupō International Motorsport Park following a year off due to the closure of the Pukekohe Park Raceway.
The racing action will start on Friday for Practice 1 and 2 with Race 1 and 2 Qualifying and Race 1 and 2 on Saturday and with Race 3 Qualifying Race 3 Top 10 Shootout and Race 3 on Sunday.
Allen will drive the #26 Ford Mustang for Penrite Racing while his team mate Kiwi Matthew Payne will drive #19 in his home country.
Allen made his official Supercars debut at the Thrifty Sydney 500 in February and competed at the Melbourne SuperSprint in March.
