Apollo keeps 10 game hot streak going against Naracoorte

Apollo took care of business on Sunday in Naracoorte as they made it 10 wins in a row.

Right from the kick off Apollo set the tone for the match as Demi Ingley scored two quick goals to give Apollo the lead.

In the back end of the first half Apollo struck again as Deni Atkin found the back of the net.

The unlucky streak continued for Naracoorte as Hayley Owen scored an own goal to give Apollo a four goal lead heading into the half.

Early in the second half Atkins scored two quick goals to seal her hattrick, following shortly by Ingley who also recorded a hattrick.

Atkin was not finished though, with her side already up by seven she scored again to finish with four for the match.

The goals kept coming for Apollo as Sarah England and Paige Hastings both finished strong for Apollo with goals to seal the victory.

Apollo came away with another dominant victory defeating Naracoorte United 10-0.

Millicent United v Inter

Inter headed to Millicent on Saturday and could not get the job done as Millicent picked up a crucial three points.

Both sides battled hard early on but struggled to convert on shots and it took till halfway through the stanza before the opening goal was scored when Millicent’s Lana Shepherd found the back of the net.

The scoring dried up after that as United headed into the break with a one goal lead.

Early on in the second half neither side could find the breakthrough, until Millicent’s Olivia Montuori scored to give United a two goal lead.

Inter continued to fight hard but just could not land a goal, while Millicent struck again right before the full time whistle as Shepherd scored her second to seal the win.

Millicent United defeated Inter 3-0.

Gambier Centrals v Blue Lake

Blue Lake came away with a thrilling victory over Centrals on Saturday at MGA Park.

Centrals got off to a good start with Andi Corfield scoring the opener to give the home team a one goal lead.

Neither side could find the back of the net for the majority of the minutes, until a determined Chelsea Frost managed to break through to level the score.

There was plenty of back and forth play for the bulk of the second half before Frost scored two quick goals to give Blue Lake a two goal lead.

After Frost’s hattrick Centrals fought hard to still get a result as Jasmine Siemon scored a late goal to bring it to a one score game.

However there was not enough time for Centrals to find an equaliser as Blue Lake held off Centrals to claim the three points.

Blue Lake defeated Centrals 3-2.
