SAPOL are investigating reports of an alleged armed robbery in Mount Gambier last week.
It is alleged that an armed man entered a car wash on Commercial Street East and threatened a staff member before stealing cash at 2.15pm on Wednesday.
SAPOL said the suspect was allegedly armed with a knife and demanded cash from the safe.
The suspect left the area in a small dark-coloured hatchback and was last seen heading east on Jubilee Highway.
Meanwhile, police are investigating a suspicious fire at Struan south of Naracoorte.
Just after 2.30am on Friday, police and fire crews responded to reports of smoke and flames coming from a property on Struan House Road.
Fire crews quickly attended and extinguished the blaze contained in a shed. A Nissan Patrol parked within the shed was destroyed in the fire.
The cause of the fire is undetermined however police are treating the fire as suspicious.

In other emergency services news, six CFS firefighters were called to a tractor fire just after 9.30am on Friday at Port MacDonnell.
The fire was believed to have started in the engine bay while the tractor was travelling along a road.
Despite the quick response in containing the blaze and stopping the flames from spreading to surrounding areas the tractor was completely destroyed.
Damage has been estimated at $75,000.
