Police are following a definite line of inquiry after two local men were allegedly assaulted in a street fight in Millicent last month but no offenders have yet been apprehended.
Just before 2am on March 26, police and the SA Ambulance Service were called to George Street after reports of a fight occurring near a hotel.
A man from Millicent, aged in his 60s, was taken to the Mount Gambier Hospital by the SA Ambulance Service for treatment, while the second man, also from Millicent and aged in his 50s, was taken to the Millicent Hospital for treatment.
The man in his 60s was subsequently air-lifted to an Adelaide hospital and underwent surgery for his serious facial injuries.
