Round 12 of the Mount Gambier Netball Association (MGNA) recorded plenty of action, with headline matches in the A Grade showcasing higher-ranking teams against those lower on the table.

Hobitz claimed a convincing win over Vicis with Samantha Crute and Kym Stewart leading the way for their team in a 90-35 victory.

Amazons struggled against the pace and determination of  Intruders, with the latter victorious in an 88-20 thrashing and  Tash Moreland again consistent for her team alongside Kate  Biszko.

In the other match, Zodiacs lined-up against Saints in the closest game of the round, which ended in Saints’ favour 51-31 with Jordana Jones and Lucy Northam Saints’ best on ground.

In the A2 Grade, second-placed  Intruders played a tough defensive game against ladder leader  Hobitz, which ended with Hobitz  11 goals ahead.

The best players for Intruders were Amber  Richardson and Belinda Bonney with Hobitz looking to Ieshia Goldsmith and Sari Mutton.

 Meanwhile, Saints were victorious over Zodiacs in a close-fought  match which ended 38-31, with Highlight performances from Nadia McLean and Kimmi Pratt and Jaime Bowditch and Ellie Cutting.

In the B1 competition, games  were played to a high standard with Zodiacs and Amazons  having a great game which finished with an eight-goal win for  Zodiacs.

Intruders Black took a  good win over Hobitz Red with Hobitz Blue having a great win over Intruders Orange.

In addition, the B2 Grade offered a close game between Hobitz and Intruders with only three goals separating the two, in a match that ended Hobitz 33-30 Intruders.

The game between Zodiacs and Vicis went to 22 goals, with Vicis claiming the victory 24-46.

The Under 17s saw Saints take on Hobitz Blue and Intruders face Hobitz Red, with both matches going in favour of Hobitz sides.

In the Under 15s Zodiacs Blue had a convincing 39 goal  win over Zodiacs Gold, with this game played during the week due to players going away for the holidays.

Saints and Vicis played off in a close match that ended Vicis 18-33 Saints, while Hobitz and Intruders had a close game on the other court in which both sides came out strong from the first whistle, finishing Hobitz 31-28 Intruders.

The Under 13A Grade saw Hobitz beat Vicis in a close  match, with only two points separating the sides.

Hobitz took the  win 13-15.

The match between Zodiacs and Saints was a high-scoring  affair with the former winning 44-11.

Meanwhile, Under 13B teams offered mixed results with teams  all enjoying the warming conditions.

The closest game was  between Vicis and Amazons with the margin in Amazons’ favour by six goals.

The Set grade had its first draw between Zodiacs (7) and Vicis (7), with the other match played between Saints and Hobitz, which ended 7-1 in Saints’ favour.

While the Go grade saw Hobitz Red beat Amazons 11-4, Zodiacs beat Hobitz Blue 10-2 and Intruders beat Vicis 9-0.
