Back to the drawing board for Kalangadoo event

Back to Kalangadoo celebrations planned for next month have been postponed.

Organising committee spokesperson Jane Fetherstonhaugh said the Kalangadoo History Group would host the event on March 12, 2022.

“Due to COVID-19 limiting the number of people wanting to attend, it was decided to hold the event in March when hopefully people will be able to travel more freely,” she said.

“A small event to commemorate the actual 100th anniversary of the Riddoch Memorial Institute will be held at Kalangadoo Institute at 2pm on October 3.”

Among the drawcards for Back to Kalangadoo was to be television personality Bryan Dawe but he advised that border closures would prevent his attendance.
