Alocal bride has held a Taylor Swift Eras Tour themed bridal shower at the Apple Farm after
failing to obtain tickets to the global superstar’s recent sold out Australian tour.
Kayla McInnes’ event was complete with a handmade sequined leotard, personalised cupcakes, a customised poster, themed table setting and Taylor Swift games.
The bridesmaids dressed up accordingly in Taylor Swift eras themes including Lover, Red, Speak Now and Midnights.
“I tried to get tickets but obviously they were like mission impossible,” Ms McInnes said.
“I thought well I am getting married and Taylor was in Australia so I will just tee it up and have my own Eras Tour there.
“I am a Swiftie since day dot and obviously any excuse to dress up for the Eras Tour.
“My mum and stuff did not dress up as such but they still could have passed as one of the eras anyway.”
Ms McInnes said she would like to thank her “amazing bridesmaids” for setting up the memorable event.
“The people that came participated in dressing up made it more fun and something different compared to just dressing up nice and going out,” she said.
“My bridesmaids did a great job organising it and it was a great day and it was a good substitute for missing out on Taylor tickets.
“It was very much all worth it since I did miss out on Taylor tickets so joined in on the Taylor fandom anyway.”
Ms McInnes could not let her young daughters, aged four and six, miss out on the fun and dressed them up in the Taylor Swift theme to watch the Eras Tour documentary prior to the day of the bridal shower.
Ms McInnes will marry “boy next door” Hunter Mansell later in the month.
