Big guns ready to rumble

Tantanoola hosts Glencoe in this week’s match of the fifth round of the Mid South Eastern Netball Association.

Glencoe’s Donna Jaeschke will be looking to drive down the court and accurately feed her goalies, Malinda Markiewicz and Jenna Paproth.

However, Kate Bromley and Tayla Rowe will be putting the pressure in Tantanoola’s defensive circle, making Glencoe’s goalies earn every possession and fighting for any potential rebounds.

Down the other end of the court Emma Gould will continue to shoot with accuracy, combining with Jami Walker.

Kristy Varcoe will fight for every possession for the Tigers, chasing any potential loose balls and feeding her goalies with accuracy.

This game will be one to watch with match ups all down the court, however Glencoe’s strength will help them to secure the points.

Robe will look to boost its percentage this week when taking on Kongorong at home, however the Hawks will be keen to keep winning after scoring their first A Grade win since 2019.

Robe’s Sarah Laurie and Tori Gluyas are a focal point in the circle and are both accurate.

The Hawk’s defensive pressure from Sarah Lucas, Riley Buckingham and Emily Lightbody will make it difficult to feed into the circle.

Alannah Jennings will put the pressure on Kongorong goalies Tilah Buckingham and Evie Sealey and will be ready to fight for rebounds.

The combination of Lucy Perkins and Annie Hunter for Robe will make for a steady game, with the Roosters coming away with the points at the end of the game.

Port MacDonnell will head to Nangwarry this week with the hopes of coming away with their second win for the season. Hayley Burner and Shannon Higgins will combine in the defensive circle for the Saints and put pressure on Toni Gilmore and Brooke Williams. Gilmore’s accuracy in the goal circle is a crucial part of the Demons’ attack.

Liza Mutch and Ebony Lawson will both fight to work the ball down the court for their respective teams.

Alana Winter’s defensive pressure for the Demons will force Nangwarry’s attack to earn every goal. This game has the potential to be a close one, however the Demons will finish the day with the points.

Mount Burr will host the Kalangadoo this week and both teams will be ready to fight for the win with Ebony Clark’s accuracy in the goal circle pivotal for the Mozzies early lead.

Georgia Gentile and Lauren Duncan will combine well in the defensive circle for the Magpies to force errors, while Madi Haggett and Olivia Dean will create every possible opportunity for a turnover in the defensive circle for Mount Burr.

Kalangadoo’s Maddy Bonanno and Kori Collins will be fed accurately by Jayde Peacock and Sophie Wrightson.

After a tough tussle, Mount Burr should do enough to come away with the win.
