The ample stocks of the Millicent Lioness Club charity bookstore are still being generously replenished by regular local donors.
In turn, the profits from the sales are being returned to the community via donations to charities and other worthy causes.
It has served hundreds of customers in its five years of operation including Adelaide media identity Peter Goers who had a private buying spree in 2016.
Mr Goers already has a collection of 15,000 books and he added more.
After four “homes”, the Millicent Lioness Club charity bookstore is now located in George Street and opposite Acky’s Deli.
Incoming Lioness Club president Joan Lucas said the new location had more room and a better layout.
“People are now starting to find us here in the main street,” Ms Lucas said. “Due to the large number of donations, we have a big range of books.
“Australian books like Nora Roberts are always in demand. “Almost all of the funds raised at the shop are given back to the local community.”
