The Port MacDonnell and District Bowling Club recently held its 16th two day Men’s Fours Carnival.

Twenty teams all over the South East, western Victoria and Adelaide took part in the event.

As part of the gathering, which included Remembrance Day, all bowlers stopped for a minute’s silence to remember, while Bill Richards played The Last Post, which proved very emotional.

Overall winners for the event were skipper Tim Wrightson, Wayne Dowdell, Keith Dowdell and Des Horrigan from Port MacDonnell.

The team of skipper Jeff England, Graeme Smith, Ray Hutchesson and Graham Crowder from Mount Gambier Mount Gambier RSL were runner up.

Rounding out the podium in third position were Trevor Feast, Guy Urens, Garry Miles and Graham Wright from Toorak Burnside.

RUNNERS UP: Graham Crowder, Ray Hutchesson, Graeme Smith and Jeff England finished in second position.
