Bowlers pair off for Millicent competition

In perfect conditions for bowls, 42 players registered to play some 2-4-2 action at Millicent this week.

Before going out on the greens, bowlers were reminded to put their names in for the Handicap Pairs Championship that is due to be played on Sunday, November 28, while Christmas raffle tickets books were also handed out to all members.

The winning team this week with a score of 34+21 shots up was Peter Dunnicliff and John Scudds.

They took home the prize pool of $42.

Second place with a score of 33+16 was a triple of Carlene Godden, Malcolm Mac Robert and Bill Burdon, each receiving a bar voucher.

Other winning teams for the day were: Robert Radley, Andre Reinders 32+12; Peter Hyland, David Reichelt 32+9; Denis Clifford, John Drew 32+6; Lurlene Reinders Derk Pietersma 32+4L Arthur O’Connell, Steve Carnellor 30+5; Frank Cooper, Neil Whelan 29+2;Carl Schapel, Jim Campbell 29+2 and a draw on rink 10 with Carol Gibbs, Ray Doecke, playing John Madden and Derrick Lindh finishing on 20 points and 0 shots up.
