Bowlers ready to make South Australia proud

The Mount Gambier District Indoor Bowls Association will once again provide a large contingent of players in the South Australian State team.

Out of 52 players named in the South Australian team, 12 are Mount Gambier District Indoor Bowls Association players.

Mount Gambier’s state representatives for the 52nd Australian National Indoor Bowls Championships is led by Fiona Pearson, who is the skipper of the Ladies Pairs team.

Her daughter Keisha Pearson also carries lots of responsibility being the state’s Ladies Triples skipper.

Jennifer Bowering, Tim Radley, Nicola Bowditch, Kevin Burn and Fiona Rochow are Leads in the Mixed Pairs, Men’s Triples, Ladies Triples, Men’s Fours and Ladies Fours events respectively.

Other representatives are Craig Pearson (Second Men’s Triples), Serena Bourn, Veronica Opie (Second Ladies Fours), Heather Glynn (Third Ladies Fours) and Trevor Williams (Reserve).

This year’s Australian National Indoor Bowls Championships will be played in Devonport, Tasmania from next Tuesday to Saturday.
