Bowls celebrates big weeks of wins

BOWLS

OVER the past few weeks the club has had a number of events to report.

On Tuesday, 4th March we held the Ladies Invitation Fours Tournament.

Winners on the day were the Hamilton Grangeburn team and runners up were Portland Memorial.

We had 10 teams play on the day and many thanks go to all the players who supported us on a very warm day along with Bendigo Bank who continue to sponsor this event.

It would not be the success it was if not for support from teams and the Bendigo Bank.

Thank you to all

The Twilight social bowls finals were held on Wednesday, 5th March with winners being the team of Wayne Southern, Aaron Southern and Tom Brody.

Runners-up team were Neil Shannon, Leanne Richardson and Sandy Pilmore.

Congratulations to all the winners and runners up and all the social bowls players who make the season such a fun competition.

It was a great season played in high spirits and with lots of fun.

If you would like to have a go and learn to play, join our social bowls season.

We have great fun!.

On Thursday, 6th March the final of the Ladies 21-up competition was held.

This was a hard fought game with Teresa Sealey claiming victory over Glenis O’Connell.

It’s wonderful to see such great bowls skills on display.
