Police are investigating after 400 litres of fuel was stolen from the Millicent Golf Club golf course at Mount Burr last week.
The theft occurred sometime between 4pm on July 20 and 6am the following day and coincided with the start of the statewide COVID lockdown. The property was broken into after offenders removed the padlock to the front gate and then removed padlocks to two bulk fuel storage tanks and syphoned 200 litres of diesel and 200 litres of unleaded petrol.
Police are investigating and anyone with information or who saw any suspicious activity in the area can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online. Regional sporting clubs are asked to review security arrangements and make improvements where possible.
