Bushfire emergency planning supported

Member for MacKillop Nick McBride is actively promoting a particular bushfire readiness measure.

He is backing the use of so-called Grab and Go Bags for important documents.

Mr McBride said the satchels are a fantastic initiative by Community Legal Centres SA with the help of the Country Fire Service.

“In case of emergencies, these Grab and Go bags could save valuable time getting you and your family to safety, “Mr McBride said.

“I am so proud to say the MacKillop Electorate Office in Naracoorte is a pick-up point for these bags.

“Collect one – better yet – collect two, and go and see your neighbour.

“It is a great conversation starter on discussing your emergency plans.”
