Car safety check returns

The Lakes Rotary Club will light the night with their annual lighting checks around the Limestone Coast on Thursday April 13 from 5.30pm-7.30pm.

It is timely as the winter months of darkness, fog and poor visibility are approaching.

Vehicle checks will take place at the following locations: Mount Gambier – Barry Maney Group Ford on Jubilee Highway, Naracoorte – Naracoorte Battery Power, Millicent – Millicent Farm Supplies and Bordertown – Wise Ford Dealership.

The initiative celebrated its 20th year last year after starting out in the Mount Gambier Woolworths’s car park in 2002 on a Sunday afternoon.

The Barry Maney Group received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Lakes Rotary and The Rotary Foundation for their integral part in the 2022 event.
