Acapacity congregation attended the third annual Nine Lessons ‘Carols and Culture’ Service in nine languages which was recently held at the Anglican church in Mount Gambier.
Organised at the initiative of Anglican parish priest Father Neil Fernando, the gathering involved different denominations, nations and cultures.
“What a great achievement by Christ Church, Mount Gambier,” Father Neil said.
“It was good to see so many churches coming together to have the hall packed as well as the church with 230 people and over 400 views on YouTube streaming.
“There was a blend of life and light at Christ Church.
“We truly did it together for the greater glory of God.”
The service included offerings in Sri Lankan, Norwegian, German, Swahili, African, Indian, Italian, South African and English languages with performances by Phoenix and Christ Church choir and choirs from other churches and organisations.
