Cats strengthen line-up

Port MacDonnell star Colby Munro will build on his family’s legacy at Casterton Sandford, signing with the Cats for the 2025 Limestone Coast Football Netball League season.

The talented midfielder and forward is the latest in a list of big announcements by the Cats heading into 2025.

The son of former Cat and club and league medallist Justin and nephew of the football director Munro will work closely with recently announced gameday coach Max Rooke as part of the coaching staff in 2025.

The announcement of Munro’s signing was accompanied by news of Diarmid Cleary’s appointment as Cats’ assistant coach for 2025.

President Foster said the club was “very fortunate to have someone of Diarmid’s ability within our own player ranks, to take on the role”.

“His knowledge of the game, the standard he sets for fitness, his playing ability and work rate are second to none and make him a terrific asset to our coaching panel,” Foster said.

Munro’s signing follows the recent announcement of new recruits Sam Tooley, who will join the Cats from Coleraine and the return of former club medallist Michael Krieger.
