Cellar Dwellers ‘pours in’

The 18th annual Coonawarra Cellar Dwellers is kicking off tomorrow and it will be a fantastic month in the region full of wine and good food.

The celebrations will continue through to July 31 and with a program of over 50 events throughout July there is lots on offer for wine lovers and foodies alike.

Coonawarra winemakers will showcase their amazing wines and delve into their cellars to bring out aged wines for rare and exclusive tastings.

People can visit the cellar doors and soak up the atmosphere of Coonawarra, which is the perfect way to experience the renowned wine region during the winter months.

Visitors can get a stamp on a ‘wine passport’ when they visit participating wineries and when they have visited at least five they will go in the draw to win various prizes, including a mixed half dozen of Coonawarra Wines valued at over $200.

Coonawarra Vignerons executive officer Ockert Le Roux said Coonawarra was looking forward to the Cellar Dwellers festival.

“We are optimistic, we are looking forward to a post-COVID restoration of confidence and just for people to get out, come and say hello, visit us and enjoy what we have got on offer in the month of July,” he said.
