Senior Men
Inter v Naracoorte United
Naracoorte United will travel to Casadio Park this Sunday to take on International.
Last time these teams played, Inter made light work of United and defeated them 7-0.
Naracoorte has been struggling this season as they are still looking for their first points of the season.
Inter on the other hand have been flying so far, only losing once this season.
Heading into this game Inter will be looking to take care of businesses whereas United will be heading into this game as heavy underdogs.
Gambier Centrals v Apollo
Apollo will head to MGA Park this Sunday as they will face Gambier Centrals.
Last time these sides played Apollo got the better of Centrals as they took the three points in a 3-1 victory.
Since then both sides have had their ups and downs with Centrals in third and Apollo in fourth.
After some tough weeks Centrals finally had some success with last week’s big win over Naracoorte.
Apollo will be heading into this game refreshed after a week off with the bye.
Centrals club president Shane Dycer is confident that the Lions will get the job done over Apollo.
“We match up pretty well at home against Apollo, our games are always good games, they got over us last time and we were pretty disappointed with the result because we thought for the majority of the game that we had them on the back foot, but they capitalised a lot better than we did in front of goals all credit to them”, he said.
“I think it’s going to be a big game for both clubs (as they) are probably chasing and second spot for the double chance. Blue Lake at the moment have about a game on both of us so whoever loses will be put back a bit.”
Senior Women
Blue Lake v Millicent United
Millicent United will head to Malseed Park on Saturday to face Blue Lake.
Both sides have had solid seasons so far with their last game ending in a 2-2 draw.
With Apollo in a league above everyone else, the second place position is up for play for lots of the teams in the comp.
Blue Lake currently has one more point then Millicent with Blue Lake in third and Millicent in fourth.
This will definitely be a hotly contested game with a lot on the line.
Gambier Centrals v Apollo
Apollo will head to MGA Park on Saturday to take on Centrals.
Last time these teams played Apollo won 2-0.
Apollo have been phenomenal this season and have not looked like dropping points all season.
Centrals on the other hand have been pretty solid this year as they currently sit second on the ladder and two points in front of third place.
After Centrals not playing last week due to Naracoorte forfeiting they will be fresh and ready to take on the undefeated Apollo.
