Charity round warms hearts

Seventeen women braved cool and wet weather to play a stableford event for a breast cancer fundraiser at the Millicent Golf Club.


Those taking part also played a team event using a pink ball, while a trading table on the day raised $307 for breast cancer research.


Lana Barlow won the A Grade with 32 points, while Heather Anderson (3) was runner up on a countback.


Julie McKenzie (35) was too good in B Grade, with Heidi Muhovics runner up with 34.


The ball winners were Mary Warneke (31), Bronwyn Clarke (30) and Lyn Watson 30. The nine hole competition on the back nine was won by Heidi Muhovics (19).


Nearest the pins went to Kirsty Bailey, Lana Barlow, Sharne Peacock and Karen Lock.


Julie McKenzie, Annie Maclennan and Heather Anderson won the team event with 90 points.
