AMillicent motorist was arrested after a short high-speed police pursuit in Murray Bridge on Wednesday morning.
Just after 12.30am, police attempted to stop a white Mitsubishi sedan on Swanport Road.
Upon sighting police, the vehicle allegedly accelerated and refused to stop.
The vehicle travelled at speeds in excess of 100kph in 50kph zones, before crashing into a median strip.
As a result of this impact, the two front tyres deflated.
The vehicle continued for a short distance, before stopping near Finch Road.
The driver, a 47-year-old man from Millicent was arrested.
He has been charged with driving dangerously to avoid police and driving with a disqualified licence.
His vehicle was also impounded for 28 days.
