Christmas celebrations at Millicent CFS

The Millicent CFS marked the end of the year with a Christmas barbecue, attended by the brigade’s family members and friends.

Millicent CFS Brigade captain Phil Richards (left) congratulated fellow volunteer Noah Telfer on being named firefighter-of-the-year.

Returning this year to the rank of Lieutenant Three, Mr Telfer was again recognised for his leadership, diligence and capacity at training sessions and on operational taskings.

Mr Telfer also won the prestigious award in 2019.

There was also plenty to keep the youngsters entertained, with Eddie Cockrum welcoming Santa Claus to the fire station.

The five-year-old may well follow in the volunteer fire-fighting footsteps of his elder brother Noah, father Matt and paternal grandfather John Cockrum.
