An informative public lecture will be held at the University of South Australia Mount Gambier Campus this Thursday evening.
“How to Understand and Manage Chronic Pain” will be presented by UniSA’s Professor Lorimer Moseley AO, who will delve into advances in how to manage chronic pain.
Prof Moseley said his “fascination” of humans led him to become a physiotherapist for seven years, then a neuroscientist, a pain scientist and a science educator.
He has several feathers in his cap as he was appointed UniSA’s Inaugural Chair in Physiotherapy in 2011, made an Officer of the Order of Australia in 2020 and was appointed a Bradley Distinguished Professor in 2021.
Pre-lecture drinks will begin at 6pm and the presentation will commence at 6.30pm followed by a light supper.
The presentation will be held in-person at the campus and will also be livestreamed for those unable to attend.
Registrations are essential and can be made via Eventbrite.
