Civic office design and costing terms agreed

Afurther stage of Millicent’s proposed $5.5m civic office was taken last week when Wattle Range Council held its October monthly meeting.

The meeting agreed to terms with its architects for detailed designs and costings but no other details about the confidential discussions have been released.

Council staff had been working to finalise the contract with Mount Gambier’s Chapman Herbert Architects for the provision of architectural services.

A confidential report sought council endorsement on the architectural fee proposal for the detailed design phase as well as contract administration.

The lodgement of the planning application for the proposed North Terrace project is planned for this month.
