GLENELG Shire Councillors will have the proposed schedule for budget consultation put before them for ratification at tonight’s council meeting.
While the consultation is proposed to get under way in the very near future, notifiying the communities in the north and south of the shire has very different proposed schedules.
Casterton’s proposed session gives residents just one week’s notice from tonight’s meeting, while other sessions are proposed for two weeks’ time.
Councillors will also consider proposals for several Federally-funded infrastructure projects, including new facilities for the Casterton District Cricket Club and Casterton Little Athletics Centre.
The facilities were originally funded in 2021, however several setbacks with planning and materials saw the project put-off for three years.
