Wattle Range Council recently staged an information forum in Millicent which has reminded operators of local clubs and venues forum of their legislated responsibilities as well as grant opportunities.
Council’s development services director Emma Clay (pictured) said the information session was a success as there were over 50 representatives of local clubs and venue in attendance.
“It was really positive to see such a great turnout,” Ms Clay said.
“The clubs and organisations that attend these sorts of forums gain an edge over their competitors receiving vital information about grants and fundraising.
“Senior Constable First Class Jade Hill, Acting Manager Crime Prevention Section, Limestone Coast Police is happy to assist proprietors by providing an information booklet on Business Security or can even undertake a risk assessment of your premises to assist in preventing crime.”
Council’s environmental health officer Catarina Santos reminded participants to have a current Food Business Number (FBN) and COVID Safe plan.
“Check your density requirements are correct compared to what you have done previously and inclusive of any changes you have make to shelving or tables,” Ms Santos said.
“Be COVID compliant and ensure that people are QR checking and ask your customers if they have checked-in.”
