Councillors back staff after complaint

Wattle Range Council considered more than 400 pages about a complaint regarding staff actions on a confidential basis at its January monthly meeting.

The agenda had listed a presentation was to be made to the council by two complainants and their solicitor but they did not attend.

In essence, council voted to endorse the staff actions and then passed a further motion.

Councillor David Walshaw successfully moved the council staff involved in this process be complimented in the way in which they managed these difficult issues.

Limited information about the complaint is contained in the published meeting agenda and minutes.
