Craft festival cancelled

Millicent’s annual Geltwood Craft Festival has again been cancelled and will not take place again until 2026.

It was last held a year ago and was next scheduled to be held next Autumn.

However, the companion Quilting Convention is not going ahead and so the Geltwood Festival organisers decided to cancel their event as well.

The 2021 Geltwood Festival was cancelled due to COVID.

The 2026 date has yet to be set.

That year will also mark the tragic 150th anniversary of the sinking of the Geltwood sailing ship off the South East coast.

It was on its maiden voyage from England to Australia.

The ship’s name was chosen for the Millicent craft festival over 20 years ago.
