Crane hits city house

Police are investigating an incident which occurred in Mount Gambier last week.

Just before midday, last Wednesday, patrols were called to Hanson Street, after reports that a crane with a forklift attached, collided with a house causing significant structural damage.

The operator of the machinery left the property before police arriving.

Enquiries identified the driver as a 60-year-old local man who is assisting police.

Investigations are continuing into the incident.

There were no reports of injuries as a result of the crash.
