Crash halts traffic

The Dukes Highway was blocked for hours on Tuesday following a truck crash near Coonalpyn.

Just before 2am emergency services were called to the scene about 12km north-west of Coonalpyn after a B-double truck rolled over.

The vehicle rolled across both lanes of the highway, with traffic diverted at Coonalpyn and Tailem Bend.

The driver was not seriously injured and was taken to hospital as a precaution.

Tow trucks were sent from Adelaide to right the vehicle, before it could be removed and the highway cleared.

Several trucks were forced to wait at the scene, including one carrying the Limestone Coast’s newspapers.

The SE Voice deliveries were delayed, along with The Advertiser and The Australian newspapers.
