Pink will be the colour of play at Norm Facey Oval in Millicent on February 8 when Naracoorte Townies cricketers make their annual visit and meet the Millicent Black Hats.
It has been designated Pink Stumps Day as part of the nationwide fundraiser for the McGrath Foundation and the Breast Care nurses.
It will be the social highlight of the 2024/25 season in the Millicent/Naracoorte Cricket Association.
Rendelsham has taken part in all three Pink Stumps Days in recent years against Furner/Beachport (twice) and Lucindale (once).
The format is expected to follow past games with pink caps and tops, raffles, an auction and a VIP viewing area.
The funds raised to date locally run into many thousands of dollars.
McGrath Breast Care Nurses help individuals and their families affected by breast cancer by providing invaluable physical, psychological, emotional support from the time of diagnosis and throughout treatment.
All funds raised go towards helping the McGrath Foundation reach their goal of 250 nurses by 2025, to work towards ensuring no one misses out on care.
The host club will be hard to beat as it is the reigning premier on their home ground in the Millicent/Naracoorte Cricket Association.
