Croquet back after courts rehabilitation

JAN DANCEY – CROQUET

HAPPY to say, ‘we are back’.

After nearly four months we are now able to play on our courts again with thanks going to Damien Carter for all the hard work he has carried out on repairing all the holes and damage caused by the cockatoos.

Our courts look great and were pretty good to play on.

Nine players arrived at the court happy and more than ready to have a couple of games.

For some it was as if they had not had a break, but for others it was a very painful return.

Unfortunately, I forgot to bring the results home with me, but I’m pretty sure Lois, Yvonne, Joy, Margaret and James Mason all had wins, whilst the rest of us need a little more practice.

Hopefully in the coming weeks we will all return to top form and get back to enjoying our croquet once again.

Our two juniors James Mason and James Wombwell are off to Warrnambool on Tuesday and Wednesday to compete in singles and doubles competitions.

Good luck boys.

Hope you both have a couple of enjoyable days and a few wins.
