Crows fly away with win

Afast start from the Crows on home soil helped them take out the win 57-35 in round 14 in Kowree Naracoorte Tatiara netball.

The Roosters had no answer to the home team as they made the most of the scoring opportunities and lead right through the four quarters of play.

However, Bordertown managed to fight back in the last term to almost match the Keith.

For the victors Danielle Vankalken shot 31 while Mandy Harper and Sophie Ansell were named the best.

Bordertown’s Kimberly Langley worked hard shooting 21 goals in the loss, but Lucy Murch and Isabelle Sneath were named the best.

Lucindale v Kybybolite

It was a nail bitter in this contest and with both sides taking the challenge up to each other the Roos managed to take the win by one goal.

Scoring was equal right across the four terms of play and both sides looked well settled at either end of the court.

Lucindale’s Trudy Lane had a good day under the ring with 26 goals to be named the best alongside Hollie Ogilvie and Emily Gould was also good with 23 goals.

In the loss the Tigers had Charlee Hodges and Chelsea Bull shooting well but named Erin Ewer and Gorgia Sealey in the top two.

Penola v Border Districts

Agood solid start from the Eagles got the 14-goal win over Border Districts at home in this battle.

With a two-goal lead at the first change Penola took it with both hands and did not let the opposition in the contest.

April Possingham and Ashley Earl had a good day with 40 and 12 goals respectively while Maddy Teakle also performed.

It was not a good day for the Hawks but played with some pride led by Poppy Moyle-Read and Kelsie Moyle-Read.

Mundulla V Padthaway

The visiting Lions got away early in the first quarter to set the benchmark for Mundulla.

Padthaway had a four-goal lead at the first change and extended it to six by half time.

In the third and fourth quarters Mundulla kicked into another gear and shocked the visitors to outscore and go on to win the game by five goals.

Chantelle Fromm was good for the Tigers with 33 goals and Kaitlyn Ward scored 40 for the opposition.
