Dog show rescheduled

The annual Millicent Kennel Club shows have been pushed back by a month in 2024.

Rather than a November date, there will be four shows spread over three days starting at 2pm on December 13.

Hundreds of pedigree dogs will grace the playing arena of the Millicent United Soccer Club at McLaughlin Park and be assessed by interstate judges.

For many years, the dog shows were held within the showgrounds and coincided with the annual Millicent Show.

However, the move was made to the Millicent United Soccer Club on Park Terrace about 15 years ago.

The shows are conducted under the rules of the South Australian Canine Association.

The Millicent Kennel Club is one of the oldest local sporting groups as it was founded in 1964.
