Drink driver stopped in Trax

Adrink driver has lost her licence after being caught in the Limestone Coast last week.


About 3pm on February 10 police stopped a grey Holden Trax on Rolland Street in Naracoorte after reports the car was seen being driven poorly.


The driver, a 64-year-old local woman, submitted to a breath test where she returned a positive result of 0.108 – more than double the legal limit.


She was reported for drink driving, issued a six-month immediate loss of licence and her vehicle was impounded for 28 days.


She will be summonsed to appear in Naracoorte Magistrates Court at a later date.


Meanwhile, a man will appear in court after he was also caught drink driving in Naracoorte.


About 11pm on February 7 police stopped a car on Smith Street and the driver underwent a breath test.


He returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.100.


The 22-year-old Naracoorte man was reported for drink driving and issued with a six-month immediate loss of licence.


He will be summonsed to appear in the Magistrates Court at a later date.
