Drink drivers to face court

Limestone Coast Police detected two drink drivers over the weekend.

About 10.30pm on Friday, police stopped a car travelling on Sturt Street in Mount Gambier to breath test the driver.

The driver, a 47-year-old local woman, allegedly recorded a positive result of 0.133.

She lost her licence on the spot for six months and her car was impounded for 28 days.

She will appear in court at a later date.

At 11.45pm on Saturday, police stopped a car on Memorial Drive, Naracoorte, to breath test the driver.

The driver, a 25-year-old local man, allegedly recorded a positive result of 0.142.

He lost his licence on the spot for six months and his car was impounded for 28 days.

He will appear in court at a later date.

Police wish to remind drivers that mobile and static driver screening tests will continue to feature in the Limestone Coast throughout the upcoming festive season.
