Driver dies in crash

Police are investigating a fatal crash at Bordertown.

About 8am on Sunday, police and ambulance officers were called to Golf Course Road after a passing motorist came across a car crashed into a tree.

The driver, a 43-year-old local man was found deceased inside the car.

Major Crash officers attended the scene to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash and to determine when the crash occurred.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have seen the Nissan Navara ute in the area before the crash being located to call CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.

The man’s death is the 37th life lost on our roads this year as compared to 50 for this time last year.
