Dust settles on ‘23 Teagles Excavations Pines Enduro

The dust has settled on another Teagle Excavations ARB Pines Enduro 400, as Danny Brown and George Apted dominated with back-to-back victories.

The showcase took place in Millicent with Brown putting on an incredible display as he gained a commanding 59-second lead by the end of the first lap.

In the Nissan TT-powered Alumi Craft, Brown did not look back putting on a masterclass and finishing the race with a 3.23-minute lead, securing his place atop the podium.

In their Element Prodigy the 2013 Pines champions Carl Haby and Chloe Roehr delivered a stellar performance, a late flat tyre suffered by South Australians Andrew and Fletcher Murdock saw Harby and Roehr cross 28.5 seconds ahead of them.

Brent Martin and Andrew de Simone came in fourth to claim their third ARB Australia outright and Class 1 crown.

The Victorian pair became the first to do it in consecutive years.

In the midst of the action, the father-daughter duo Steven and Ella Graham #1065 powered their way their third top five finish of the season finishing the race fifth outright.

Adam Bierl and Nyree Burmingham #35 in their Chevrolet-powered Jimco finished in the sixth spot on the Ultimate Class podium.

David and Alice Middlemiss in the #117 entry finished second place in both the ARB Australian outright and Class 1 Championship, after coming in seventh.

The top 10 was rounded out by Trevor Chandler and Connor Corrigan in the #1111 entry, defending ARB Australian Ultimate Class champions Craig and Megan Barnett #68 in ninth and Rod and Kodi Visser steered the #1057 entry to 10th.

In other classes, Brendan Forssman and Leigh Whitehand #274 clinched a maiden ARB round Class 2 victory.

Jamie Knight and Lachlan Brosnan #439 secured their second ARB Australian Class 4 championship, while Jackson Evans and Sam Raper in the #635 debuted their new Polaris RZR Turbo S with a maiden national Class 6 win.

The Class 8 was won by Owen Ward and Curtis Laidlaw #832 who also took home the ARB Australian Class 8 championship.

Darren and Damon Gill #760 claimed consecutive victories in Class 7 Patrols, and Matt Lavis and Andrew Dance #6684 finished their ARB Australian Class 66 championship-winning season with a win in Millicent.

The race brought an end to an incredible season of racing with the event set to return to Millicent once again in 2024 on September 20-22.
