Eagle lands golfer some new silverware

Alocal golfer has been recognised for his winning efforts earlier this year.

During a challenge match between Glenelg Association and the SE Veteran Golfers Association, held at Casterton, Kingston’s Bruce Stilwell managed to get an eagle three on the par five seventh hole.

In recognition of his success, Stilwell has just received a lovely trophy from the Casterton club to add to his trophy cabinet.

Meanwhile, last week eight SE Vets went to Portland for Glenelg’s end of year event.

In a field of 80, Terry Chant won first division with 40 points, Brian Pennell 36 and Billy Mullan 34.

In other news the annual getaway will again be held in the Riverland from April 27 to May 3 next year.
