Emerging talent signs on for new basketball season

The OneFortyOne Pioneers are delighted to announce that Zoe Hurley is returning to Mount Gambier for 2025.

Twenty-five-year-old Hurley was welcomed to the Pioneers roster for the 2024 NBL1 South season.

She averaged just over 18 minutes court time per game with a shooting percentage of 44.6% and 2.92 rebounds per game.

Hurley said she cannot wait to return to Mount Gambier again.

“I am really excited to part of the Pioneer family again. The club and community make playing in Mount Gambier feel like a second home,” she said.

“I am keen to improve my game, and I believe Head Coach Matt Sutton is the coach to help me do that as he has great knowledge and passion about the game.

“He always creates a safe environment that lets you explore and improve your skills and mind game.”

Head Coach Sutton said he was thrilled to have Hurley back in Pioneers colours for a second season.

“Zoe’s return to our program is fantastic, she can play multiple positions and plays extremely hard,” he said.

‘We feel like the best of Zoe is yet to come, she’s been very motivated to develop her game, I cannot wait to get to work with her again.”

Hurley and the rest of the OneFortyOne Pioneers expect to hit the court at Wulanda again for the 2025 season in late March.
