AMount Gambier student has won the KCA Millicent Mill engineering scholarship.
Wil Vaughan is currently studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Adelaide.
Mr Vaughan will be provided with a bursary to support him during his studies, as well as a position in the Millicent Mill’s annual Vacation Internship Program, giving him access to valuable work experience and mentors.
He is a graduate of Tenison Woods College and shared the 2024 Engineering faculty prize awarded by the Aquinas residential college in North Adelaide.
KCA spokesman David Tyack said his company has had several engineers begin their journey through this program.
“They have developed into seasoned leaders over time,” Mr Tyack said.
“We’re incredibly proud of the calibre and tenure of our workforce at Millicent – noting over half of the Millicent team have been with us for 15 years or more.
“As one of the largest employers in the South East, we are fully invested in the talent of this region and this scholarship is just one way that we are helping support the next generation of young engineers.”
The Millicent Mill Scholarship has been running for decades and is open to students who are undertaking full time tertiary studies in the disciplines relevant to the manufacturing process, chemical, mechanical, electrical or mechatronics.
