Exhibition captures snapshot of Wattle Range life through more than 250 pictures

The annual Wattle Range Council Photographic Exhibition was again held digitally this year due to COVID factors.

The winning entries went on display in the Millicent Gallery just before Christmas.

They feature in the 2022 Wattle Range Council calendar along with other entries.

“With over 250 entries it was pleasing to see a number of new photographers enter and to be recognised as prize winners,” acting development services director Janice Nitschke said.

“Wendy Kuhlman, a new entrant, won the Lake McIntyre Category sponsored by the Boyle family.

“Mary Whitehead’s stunning sunset won the Landscape and she also won the Nature Category with Three’s a Crowd a stunning photo which tempted you to touch it.

“Tony Whitehead’s captivating photo of the Millicent Show and his Mower Derby were place getters in the Sport and Leisure category.

“Alex Window’s Tantanoola Caves invited you to visit in his Panoramic and his People and Portrait, being both winners.

“New entrant and emerging photographer Lily Cain won the youth award.”
